STRITCH ECO CLUB
~The Green Roots~
The Eco Club's aim is to establish local, environmental improvements such as, food composting, efficient recycling, gardening, and more, as a way to teach students easy practices to live a green lifestyle. Global change begins with the individual: the Eco Club will guide you on how to make simple changes in your life to become an eco-activist.
Let's be the change we want to see in the world.
The Green Roots are committed to raising environmental awareness and creating a sustainable future at Cardinal Stritch for generations to come. With your help, we will make an impact one person at a time! We want to encourage anyone who is passionate about the earth to join our mission and fulfill the Franciscan values of ‘Creating a Caring Community’ and ‘Reverencing all of Creating’.
OUR OBJECTIVES
TO EDUCATE STUDENTS ABOUT THEIR ENVIRONMENT
TO CREATE A CLEAN AND GREEN CONSCIOUSNESS AMONG STUDENTS THROUGH VARIOUS INNOVATIVE METHODS
TO MOBILIZE STUDENTS TOWARDS SCIENTIFIC INQUIRY INTO ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS
TO INVOLVE THEM IN EFFORTS TO PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT
TO MOTIVATE STUDENTS TO CHANGE THEIR HABITS AND LIFESTYLE IN ORDER TO CREATE MINIMAL WASTE
OUR NETWORK
We store and keep track of everything on a Google Drive, which allows for easy access and sharing of information with anyone whom it may concern. This is efficient as it is easy to pass along, as new students come in and older students leave. The information is organized into folders: Member Information and Positions, Budget and Funding, Events, Social Media Management, Meetings, Newsletters, and Design Work & Logos.
